Hi Monika

Look forward to reading about your little boy, and good to be reminded that Frigg carries Wheaten, I would have found that if I had looked in my litter notes but sometimes I forget to do that.

Boy do I know what you mean about the ears, I call them bat ears LOL, and they pop up in the litters, I had one this year, the owners love him.. they think he is so cute, with those BIG ears LOL.. he is in a loving pet home, but breeding down that ear size is certainly something I have been working on, and I know you have been as well for years, it really effects the overall profile, I remember taking a litter to the vets, and it was split between nice smaller rounded ears and bigger/pointer ears and it was so interesting to me, to see the folks react to them, they all thought the smaller rounder puppies were so sweet expression pups, and that the bigger/more pointed, where such Smart/Sharp looking pups, it was a really lession for me, that something so simple and small could effect how person after person looked at the puppies.

Best Wishes on a good solid tie.. and lots of lovely dark red pups!

Well I find Trek's ears quite endearing, it wasn't meant as a critique. Tindra has the family ears but she has some fluff to camoflauge them. Out of all the things that can run in families - generously proportioned ears are nothing to complain about!

Glad to hear you guys like him. :-)

I think you got some nice colours Laura but as you say not that really rich red and to tell you the truth it's hard to find and why I'm so excited to use him on Hófi because although she is not AS dark as him she does have a red colouring. However her mother is a wheaten/light tan so she might give that as well. His mother was a wheaten and he gave one wheaten (it suffocated on the way out) with Frigg. Well, yah those ears are a real family trait unfortunately. Hehe I'm hoping with Hófi's smaller ears that we might get a couple puppies without the dumbo ears.

I have a long answer to that point about Klói Val and I'll write about it in my next post just because you pointed that out. But of course I do partly listen to him and that's why we started taking her when we did.
