July 30th

I'm gonna post a bunch of photos from our walk today at the beach, the weather was unbelievable...record temperatures all over Iceland and well we could actually walk in the water and it wasn't too cold. The dogs had a blast!

It was a little bit funny, Birta ran to the waters edge and was obviously going to stick her head in the water but little did she realize that the water was so shallow and her whole face was full of sand. Poor girl, but it didn't stop the fun.

Birta on the left and Klói on the right...two definite clones of Freyja!

Hófi and Klói have been in training a bit the last couple days and here I am starting some rear awareness training. I realized I had forgotten to do that before teaching the heel command and well, I want them to swing nicely into heel so we just have to do a little extra work now. I thought Hófi was so cute while she was trying to figure out what I wanted her to do. She is such a sweetie!

Started backwards heeling with Hófi today. Oh, I just thought Klói looked so nice in this heeling photo and Rúnar caught one of him walking to me.

July 17-18th

Started Hófi on 2x2 weaves. She loved it and so we got to 3 poles in just a few minutes. I'm going to try to do a little bit of training whenever I get the chance and the weather is half decent. I saw how much Hófi appreciated the private lesson and time spent on her.

A whole bunch of photos from Frigg's day out! She was privileaged to go for a walk all by herself after a short trip to the vets to check on a sore that didn't look so good on her back. I think I ripped her old wound when I was brushing her a couple days ago with the steel brush. Klói informed us that there was something going on with her and we checked and of course he was right as always! Vet said it looked okay is not infected but to keep it clean until it heals up. We thought she deserved a bit of time to herself with us though since she never gets any quality time.

It's too bad she is terribly out of coat or some of these photos would have been pretty good. Well, I guess since she still has a bit of her collar ruff that the photos don't look too bad. I love how happy she looks though in some of them. It is weird though to not see Freyja sitting there beside her like old times. Typical Frigg she is not very photogenic and it's hard to get her to put her ears up for photos. Which is sometimes a good thing because her ears are a little big. LOL

I think this is a new crack from the last quake, it looked that way at least and it was pretty deep as you can see where Frigg is on the bottom of it.This is just outside of Hveragerdi where most of the damage to nature happened. A few new hot springs were formed there and I've heard that you really have to watch where you walk in some places.
