Here is the sweet little Heiğa as a couple day old puppy!
Around 6 weeks old...the whole litter had just recovered from Parvo so they were all pretty thin and not as developed as I think they should have been. We were extremely lucky that they all lived and we thank both the Early Neurological Stimulation as well as being so very quick to notice that one puppy wasn't quite up to par the night before they all got sick. The vet was wonderful and came home to help us early in the morning on a weekend and we had healthy little puppies again a few days later. Alot of breeder's lost puppies around this time as there was a bit of an epidemic going around as happens here in Iceland every now and again. We don't have too many vaccination possibilities here and have some diseases that we don't have vaccinations for at all.

With two of her sisters Móa and Sunna. Heiğa is on the far right and in front is her "aunt" Foldar Freyja.

Heiğa moved to Norway with her mother Dísa and Beggi (Bergthor). She took part in shows, trials of all sorts and one of her most impressive results was 4-8 place in the World Championships St. Hubertus for Bird dogs and their hunting partners in Belgium. Here are a few photos of Heiğa with Beggi from here and there.
First two photos are taken by Norwegian Randi Schultz at the St. Hubertus event in Belgium.

Next two photos were also taken at St. Hubertus by Hanne Andresen from Norway.
Taken in Hamar Norway. Heiğa is missing one tooth so she doesn't always do well at shows, it depends on the judges and how they measure her qualities versus faults. She has been Best of Breed and has a champion point and some champion quality points.

Photos taken February 26th by Rafnkell Jónsson who had both Heiğa and Doppa out for some training. How beautiful is she in her natural element? :-)

Here she is seen with her half sister Doppa (at the front of the photo), can you see Heiğa camouflaged in the snow and rocks? Thank goodness for the orange vest!
