The news is always hard when a beloved puppy dies, however hardest when they are in the prime of life and such beautiful specimens like my dear Móa. I remember her birth well and she was to be called Móa Dögg; here is the story from the litters page.

My nickname is Móa Dögg (móa is a field and dögg means dew). My birth is a funny story :-)
Well now it is, it wasn't at the time!!!  My mom was having a hard time, she´d been at it all night and it was already 7:30 in the morning and she was TIRED, nothing seemed to be happening so she decided that she definately needed to go outside for a second and pee! My "grandma" kept a very close eye on mom because she knew I was struggling to come out so when my mom was finished peeing she stood up again and all of a sudden got a contraction and pushed. I popped out right into the hand of my "grandma". I was like a drop of rain that fell into my "grandma´s" hand outside in the early morning hours so she said I must be called Dögg!!!

Just like the DEW her presence in this world was short but brought with it beauty and a refreshing spark to the lives around it! She was a bit of a favourite as can be seen in her photos taken with both Frigg and my beloved Káta. No doubt Káta welcomed her with enthusiasm and doggy kisses at the rainbow bridge.

Her owners have given her the richest life possible, she has done us ALL proud in field trials where she amongst other things was the Best Dog of the Trial. She had been to a few shows and always did well with 1 prizes, a Champion point and placings. She unfortunately had a tumour that damaged her heart and lungs so she must have suffered which is the saddest part, her owners loved her enough to help her find peace when the suffering was too great. My gratitude to them for loving her and giving her a wonderful life while she was with us. Why does life have to be so unfair. What a wonderful dog who has left us much too soon. Rest in peace dear Móa Dögg under the Fields of Gold that you loved to run in!
