8 week individual photos

I decided to put the 8 week evaluation stack photos here since they are not too good that means I have to put quite a few of them here to be able to get a general idea of how they are turning out. The tails on all of them are usually going a mile a minute on the photos so it's hard to see how they curl in many photos. On photos of them outside all together it is easier to see both their tails and their structure to those with a good eye for details in a dog on the move :-)

Töfra Kolbrá Hektorsdóttir

Kolla has nice proportions, her angulation is slightly more open than the others but in good balance. She is a bit refined and quite feminine which is of course something that is often lacking in the breed these days. Often we see a lack of difference between the sexes. Her coat is quite short but nice dense undercoat and her tail when she is standing on her own is nicely curled.

Kolla has such strong front dewclaws that they are usable and the bone is quite visible from the knee, it makes her legs seem  a bit crooked but if you notice it's actually bone leading to the dewclaw. I believe her to be a threshhold double on her front legs.

Töfra Kelikátur

This little guy wasn't really easy to photograph since he loves to be on the move! So one photo he is standing with his legs under himself and the other he is too stretched out! Hopefully the photo of Rúnar holding him shows his angulation better although with him being in a black jacket, well maybe not the smartest idea when taking photos of a black dog. :-) His tail is high set which makes it lie more over the back rather than curl up, but with his coat I expect it to hang nicely off to the side when it starts to get heavier with hair. His mother has a similar tail.

Kelikátur's coloring may give a strange illusion for the untrained eye. As you can see by Rúnar's pinky finger placed in the middle of the upperarm. One side has more white than the other but you can see the nice long upper arm and good angulation both front and back.

When standing on his own he is very straight in front and rear and his bone is nice and strong giving him a masculine look even though he has a very "sweet" expression.

Töfra Klói Hektorsson

Klói is a very submissive dog as you can see by his ears on the first photo. He stood pretty straight but his tail was going a mile a minute, his front legs were just about to lift off the floor and he did push his head back slightly making his front a little off balance on the first photo. The photo of him being held was taken today the other photos yesterday and the day before. They seem to change so much each day.

He has the strong dewclaws on front and back, his back feet seem to turn out slightly in all the photos but usually on the move it is not noticable.

Töfra Káta Hetja

We had taken a few photos of Káta on Saturday (8 wks exactly) and she left on Sunday to go to her new home and we had forgotten to look at the photos to see how they turned out! So unfortunately we don't have very detailed photos of her but I think her build is quite obvious in the photos because she is a very well built girl. A little bit heavy for a female but that seems to be the craze these days at shows so we are hopeful she will do well.

She has extremely expressive eyes like her mother, and here you can see the whites because she was looking up at Rúnar, too bad we didn't get the photos more straight on, they seem to be a bit off to the side.

Töfra Karma Gullbrá

Again silly move on our part we didn't get an 8 week photo of Karma before she left so we went to visit and took a photo of her at her new home (out in the hall since I am allergic to cats and two cats live there!). Not good photos she is eating my hand (they hate those gloves) on the one photo, you can pretty much see her structure though and on the other photo we thought it was pretty cool because she saw something out of the window and got all excited and her stance was a bit too stretched but we liked the head shot on that photo. We find her upper arm to be slightly short and that is a very common problem in the breed, it is very visible in the stretched photo. I´d like to see a little bit more curl in her tail but it might get a bit better once she starts gaining muscle because the tail placement is good, there is just no curl in the end yet. Birta had a similar tail as a puppy but she has more weight on hers because of her coat so it hangs more today.

That sweet little rambuntious expression, she is a live one!
