Well, I noticed I haven't added any dog photos since October, yikes! I put a few up on the news page but I think it's better to have them here so they don't get lost in the news so quickly. I decided to put a few of the "unusable" Christmas photos just for fun because THEY had a blast trying to make sure we didn't get a good photo but they LOST and we got one and it was sent as our Christmas card email this year and also on the front of the website. ;-) We had the cars driving past and a Labrador playing with his owners in the yard right across the road (you can see the noses in the air on one of the photos...catching a sniff of him) our other neighbours dog Gosi outside on the step as well and here is Klói saying hello between shots.

Then Hófi just found it much too cold to sit in the snow so we forgave her for running off and called it a day, we had luckily gotten one good photo and it only took 17 shots.

However there were more cute photos to be had of our two separate pairs of bookends. LOL  It was getting dark quickly remember the sun really doesn't come up here for long in the winter. So in the few minutes we had we got a few good photos and I just can never get over how much these two mirror each other and how much they both look like my late Freyja.

Hófi really didn't like the cold snow on her belly!

A few family photos taken today. We thought that wouldn't it be nice to get some photos of Frigg with some of her grandpuppies together and one of her daughters. The dogs had fun and got along really well together as you can see. This is the first time mine have met the others and we were happy to see how similar they actually seemed to be both in temperament and a family resemblance in looks too! The first series is really cute of Dreki and Frigg, and if he wasn't so macho I'd swear he looks just like Hófi Frigg's mother. Dreki sure liked his grandma! Unfortunately we forgot to let the two younger boys take part in the photo shoot but no doubt that would have been way too much work since they are still young puppies. :-)

Then it was time to try to have them all together...well that didn't go as well, we got lots of photos but there was always either someone with their ears down or moving about or one of us was on the hill trying to get them to sit still. I think Brynhildur got a better photo of all of them. They had more fun running around chasing the crows.

Mother and daughter for a few shots. Töfra Hólmfríður Hrifla with her mom Töfra Frigg. :-) They are so much alike I had no idea, it was funny to watch the two of them watching the other girls run around barking at the crows. We told them to stay still for a photo...you can see their hearts weren't really in this photo shoot. LOL

And lastly we got two with Hófi and Dreki.

This was just TOO CUTE. :-)

It was extremely cold today all of a sudden but the weather was beautiful, what we call "window weather" (nice to sit inside and look outside) but we took the dogs for a run and silly them as soon as they see water they had to check it out. Felt sorry for them they must have had cold legs after that. Brrrr They didn't seem to care though.

Just a bunch of photos from our travels today. :-) We wanted to see the fall colours coming in at Thingvellir but unfortunately dogs are not allowed to be off leash there it's a national park. So the photos all have them with their leads and collars on but still a few cute photos none the less.

Frigg and Hófi are totally out of coat so we didn't take too many close up photos of them. Today's "stars" were Birta and Klói again because of them not being out of coat hence they are more photogenic today. Hehehe  But they all look very happy none the less.

There are so many beautiful cravaces at Thingvellir and I just had to get Klói on the photo to show the size. The first photo is taken from the road on the top of the crack.

Then we saw this house on the way and I made Rúnar stop here with Klói as well. :-) He was quite the model today and seemed to enjoy himself. LOL

Took a few photos without dogs too right at the side of the road. Rúnar took some photos and I took some as you can see I have a photo of Rúnar taking a photo. Hehe Just loved the scenery and the colours of Autumn.

A nice cold walk today by the lighthouse in the first snow of the winter that fell last night. We were freezing but needless to say the dogs just thought it was awesome, it's their favourite element even though we don't always have too much snow during our long winters. It really started early this year anyway.

I decided to run to the car and warm up a bit when we had been there a bit because I had forgotten my gloves and hat at home. Frigg came looking for me and I opened the door and told her to go play but she wouldn't go play again until I came  too so I went back out for a little. She was really happy to get to run around like a puppy, she's out of coat now though so hopefully it will come in faster now that the snow is here.

Thought Hófi was just adorable with the snowflakes on her head, they kept running and sticking their heads in the snow banks and coming up with snow all over themselves, a fun game when the snow is so new and soft as it was today.

Klói tends to be in 5th gear all the time when we go for walks and Hófi was all for this chasing game. Hehehe Even Frigg played around like a youngster

  .

We stopped at the store on the way home and somebody figured out how to open the cage, this is the first time they have done that. Rúnar didn't put the lock on so all they had to do was lift up the door and it opened. We have never used the lock before so I guess we will have to from now on. Hehehe  These dogs are just too smart and talk about proud of themselves with that typical "who me I'm an angel" look. :-)
